Helen Pluschke holds a B.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences (UBC Vancouver, HU Berlin) and a M.Sc. in Crop Science (MLU Halle). She is a member of the poultry research team at the Thünen Institute for Organic Farming, Germany. Helen is currently working on the Project PPILOW: dual-purpose genotypes under organic rearing conditions (PPILOW Project Task 5).  The project aims to, through on-station and on-farm research trials and stakelholder discussions in the National Practitioner Group, support the development of sturdy, dual-purpose breeds that may thrive on organic farms.   ---
