Dr. Isabel Blanco-Penedo is a researcher at the Department of Animal Science, University of Lleida (UdL) and Adjunt Senior Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Sciences, SLU, and a permanent member of the EU Expert Group on Organic Production (EGTOP). 

Dr. Blaco-Penedo is a veterinarian with a Ph.D. and postdoc in Organic farming systems, with experience as a veterinarian advisor for organic farmers. Her research focus in animal health and welfare under global changes with a special interest in risk management, farm sustainability, organic farming and climatic change impact on livestock. Dr. Blanco-Penedo is also a collaborator in Master programs in animal welfare, organic farming, farm sustainability and Antimicrobials and Epidemiology in Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico and Sweden.
